Why watch the movie Thelma the Unicorn?
"A fun and tender animation directed by Jared and Jerusha Hess, creators of cult classics like Napoleon Dynamite and Nacho Libre. In fact, Thelma the Unicorn shares similarities with these films: its plot follows the titular pony, who dreams of being a singer but is underestimated due to her size and appearance, despite her talent. Her life changes when, due to an accident with paint, glitter, and a carrot, she adopts the appearance of a unicorn and becomes a sensation. It’s a simple, uncomplicated story that, through the usual expectations of the entertainment industry (appearances over talent), conveys a message of acceptance and self-esteem."
