Four girls prepare to reunite with their fathers through a special dance at a DC jail in this moving documentary about the healing power of love.

"Featured and awarded at the Sundance Festival, Daughters is a documentary with a unique – and deeply emotional – theme. It follows a group of African American girls whose fathers are incarcerated, proposing a school dance in prison to share with them: a demonstration of a program carried out by the Washington, DC penitentiary system. It's not a documentary that delves into the vicissitudes of the U.S. prison system (as 13th does, for example). However, it does reveal its repercussions on fragmented families, but also presents a ray of hope for them. Be prepared to cry. A lot."
