Why watch the movie The Blackcoat's Daughter?
"Although it was released after I am the Pretty Thing that Lives in the House, The Blackcoat's Daughter (also known as February) is Longlegs director Oz Perkins' debut feature film, and from here one could already see the marks that would distinguish his later filmography: young women as protagonists of stories as minimalist as their production design, sound work, and camerawork, converging to create atmospheres that disturb through their stillness. In this film, the plot follows three young women (Kiernan Shipka, Lucy Boynton, and Emma Roberts), whose paths intersect in a story of loneliness and violence."
