"Inspired by true events, The Wingwalker (Un viaje al corazón) is a drama starring Omar Chaparro (best known for Mexican comedies like No Manches Frida), featuring performances by Mercedes Hernández, Will Rothhaar, Héctor Jiménez, and Jesús Ochoa, among others. The story follows a widowed father (Chaparro), who is deported from the United States to Mexico just as his young daughter (London Garza) is about to receive the heart transplant that could save her life. It is a deeply melodramatic production, to the point of being manipulative, which would make it comparable to what Instructions Not Included (No se aceptan devoluciones) was for Eugenio Derbez at the time. So, if you enjoy Omar Chaparro's work and like stories that tug at the heartstrings, this film is for you."
