Why watch the movie Martha?
"Martha is a documentary by director R.J. Cutler (Billie Eilish: The World's a Little Blurry) about the life and career of Martha Stewart, the influential businesswoman and television celebrity from the United States. The documentary follows a typical and linear format, covering the main events of her personal life and professional journey, including her controversies and the infamous imprisonment in 2005. However, despite not offering any truly new information, it remains fascinating because Stewart herself is captivating throughout. Furthermore, the director has the skill to make her let her guard down on several occasions, revealing an authentic vulnerability that is also filled with contradictions."
