It's All Over: The Kiss That Changed Spanish Football

"It's All Over: The Kiss That Changed Spanish Football (#SeAcabó: Diario de las campeonas) is a Netflix documentary that chronicles the arduous journey of the Spanish women's national soccer team, from their constant systemic and media minimization to their rise as world champions and the confrontation with the then-president of the Royal Spanish Football Federation, Luis Rubiales, whose controversy over a non-consensual kiss to player Jenni Hermoso changed the course of the Federation. Although it is softened at times, the documentary presents an important and relevant reality not only in Spanish football but in women's sports as a whole: the ongoing trivialization and lack of support for female athletes at a systemic level, which is something worth reflecting on and reconsidering for the future of global sports."
