Why watch the movie O Samba?
"Brazil is mostly defined by samba, football, and beautiful women. However, those who live in the country know that these stereotypes diminish our culture. The documentary 'O Samba' brings a portrait that goes beyond the clichés and takes the music style to a level where it is not restricted to just one more sensual dance. Samba is a way of life and also a form of protest - from many of the people who create and sing the lyrics."
