"Mononoke the Movie: The Phantom in the Rain is the acclaimed return in film form of the acclaimed anime series Mononoke, which aired between 2007 and 2008, directed by Kenji Nakamura. The film's plot is similar to what was customary in the series: a master of the occult travels feudal Japan to hunt evil spirits, deeply investigating their psychology before being able to wield his sword against them. If you weren't a fan of the series, it might be a bit confusing, but even so, the film is spectacular, resuming the unique visual style that combines traditional Japanese paintings and psychedelic color schemes. It's the first in a Mononoke film trilogy."
