A father-daughter road trip set in 1990s post-socialist Poland, "Treasure" follows Ruth, a journalist, and Edek, a charmingly stubborn Holocaust survivor, on a journey to uncover their family’s past. There are many treasures abound in this often-funny culture clash of two New Yorkers: the material things that connect us to the past and the loved ones that we come to cherish.

However, throughout the trip, Edek sabotages the plans by avoiding confronting his trauma, transforming pain into satire and creating funny and unexpected situations.
