MANLY is a film based on a societal taboo of ignoring the emotions of men or normalizing men not expressing their feelings. A lot of men just like a lot of women in their childhood or teenage gets touched inappropriately or has been molested. Maybe the ratio of men and women differs, but still the trauma exists. MANLY highlights the trauma of Abhimanyu who has been molested from his childhood by his teacher whereas Ishaan was wrongly accused of a molestation case. Labanya is a tie between them and she tries to overcome both of them with their traumas. The story involves Abhimanyu's fear of trusting someone to Ishan's fear of accepting someone in their life with a twist of romance.
