Why watch the movie Oh Lucy!?
", ele oferece uma comédia sincera, sem excessos.
This is a genuine and funny comedy, based on the short 'Oh Lucy!' also signed by director Atsuko Hirayanagi. In the story, a middle-aged Japanese woman goes to learn English with an American teacher, which opens the door for her to get to know a very different culture - and then an entire country. With a script based on empathy (something that is missing in the world today), the feature brings an incredible chemistry between the characters, besides primordial performances from Shinobu Terajima and Josh Hartnett (30 Days of Night and Pearl Harbor). Highly praised by critics at the festivals it has passed through, including Cannes and Toronto, it offers a sincere comedy without excesses."
