Why watch the movie The Extraordinary Journey of the Fakir?
"This French comedy feature filmed in English, with an eye towards the international market, is based on the book 'The Extraordinary Journey of the Fakir Who Got Stuck in an Ikea Wardrobe' by Romain Puértolas. The story is about an Indian fulfilling his mother's dream of going to Paris, falling in love with a French girl, but ending up with a group of refugees. The movie delivers a light-hearted tone while touching on some more serious topics, like cultural differences and even the refugee issue – though it may fall into some stereotypes and clichés."
