"This psychological thriller takes us into the dark side of the human soul. The protagonist is a woman who, on one hand, is controlled by her family and, on the other, sees an escape in her passion for a man suspected of serial murder. The result is a true character study, excellently interpreted by Jessie Buckley. Praise also goes to the director and screenwriter, Michael Pearce, who in his first feature-length film builds a story that slowly draws us in with its mysteries. No wonder the movie passed through several festivals, including Sundance, Toronto, London and Rotterdam."
