Why watch the movie You Were Never Really Here?
"This dark and powerful thriller received praise at Cannes, winning the awards for Best Screenplay and Best Actor. In You Were Never Really Here, by director Lynne Ramsay (We Need to Talk About Kevin), Joaquin Phoenix (Joker) delivers an impressive performance as a traumatized veteran who rescues kidnapped girls. With its stylized visual approach and minimalist storytelling, the film stands out for its emotional intensity and Phoenix's powerful performance."
