This is a film about why the history of logging and present-day competitive lumberjacking is a unique piece of our sense of place in the Midwest and Northern Wisconsin. We look into how logging and competitive lumberjacking intersect. From the past to the present, to the future, from the hardships of lumber camps to the thrill of action-packed lumberjack competitions, and through genuine interviews we meet some of the exciting people who are heavily invested in the sport of lumberjacking. We focus on Wisconsin, the logging era, sustainability, and how the future of the sport has the chance for main-stream visibility as well as diversity and inclusion and how those ideas could go hand in hand.
