"The combination of horror and sci-fi has been around since 'Alien: The Eighth Passenger', but in 'Vida' it takes on more relatable contours. The screenplay could have been more developed, while the scare is closer to thriller than to horror. Still, there are good performances, an interesting embedded criticism, and a B-movie atmosphere - which isn't necessarily a downside."
