Why watch the movie Shazam!?
""Shazam!" continues DC's superhero expansion with Warner Bros. at the helm. The protagonist is a classic comic book character, originally known as Captain Marvel, but this name was abandoned due to a trademark dispute with Marvel Entertainment. In this movie version, directed by David F. Sandberg (from "Annabelle 2"), there are strong influences of the classic 'Big' - the protagonist, Billy Batson, is a boy who gains magical powers and turns into the "Most Powerful Mortal on Earth" by yelling the magical word "Shazam!", becoming an adult in the process. The protagonist, in his grown-up version, is played by Zachary Levi from the series "Chuck". With a focus on humor and without major moral dilemmas (which mark the movies of other DC heroes), this film guarantees unpretentious fun for the whole family."

We all have a superhero inside us, it just takes a bit of magic to bring it out. In Billy Batson's case, by shouting out one word - SHAZAM. - this streetwise fourteen-year-old foster kid can turn into the grown-up superhero Shazam.
