Barbara, a 60-year-old educator with two children, lives in a distant and conflict relationship with her mother, Maria Grazia, an 84-year-old woman with a rebellious and adventurous past, unfortunately suffering from senile dementia. The two have been separated for a long time due to misunderstandings of character and past experiences. Everything will change when the two, against the advice of their family and the doubts of their doctors, decide to leave for Finnish Lapland, on a journey in search of the Northern Lights, but also, and above all, of their lost bond.
