Five friends document their attempt to survive a surreal alien invasion in NYC.
Trailer
Why watch the movie Cloverfield?
"This movie revives the "found footage" style to tell the story of an alien invasion in New York, through the reactions of the city's inhabitants, on a low budget. Behind the cameras are big names of the newest generation of Hollywood filmmakers, such as director Matt Reeves (from 'War for the Planet of the Apes'), producers Bryan Burk and J.J. Abrams (from 'Star Trek' and 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens') and screenwriter Drew Goddard (from 'The Martian'). The result is a movie that entertains, mixes styles, and innovates."
