Why watch the movie Mermaid?
"This movie is inspired by the Russian legend of the rusalka, an aquatic demon that pursues attractive men to be its victims, dragging them to a certain death. 'The Mermaid: Lake of the Dead' stands out for being quite entertaining due to this unlikely mix of horror and fairy tale. The production design is great. Already the direction is by Svyatoslav Podgaevskiy, also responsible for 'The Bride'."
