On March 19th 2010, the Mexican government announced the death of two hitmen, armed to the teeth, in the city of Monterrey, Nuevo León. Days later, it was discovered that they were in fact honor students who had been tortured and murdered by the military, who later tried to disappear them in a common grave.
"Drug-related violence in Mexico has different nuances and serious ramifications. 'Hasta los dientes' explores the incompetence of local authorities in investigating the murder of two students and the attempt of public bodies to hide the truth. It is a documentary that, at the same time, moves and frustrates, with testimonies from people very close to the victims and the incompetence of the Mexican justice system."
