A boy and his family go to a taping of The Banana Splits show, unaware that the animatronic rock band has just learned that their show is about to be cancelled – and they don’t plan to let that happen. As the body count rises, Harley, his mom, and their new pals must escape the Splits or else remain their audience… forever.
"The 'Banana Splits' show was a hit on American television in the 1960s and 70s, produced by the classic Hanna-Barbera studio. Brazilian viewers could follow the series on Tupi, Record, and Bandeirantes TVs, as well as more recently on Cartoon Network and Boomerang. Now, those strange animals and their psychedelic vibe are back in a surprising slasher-style horror movie, a complete reinvention of the original concept. If you're not picky and just want to have fun, the movie delivers good moments. But if you're the type who cares about childhood memories and doesn't want to see them destroyed, stay away from this feature film."
