Why watch the movie American Factory?
"Steven Bognar and Julia Reichert, nominated for an Oscar for 'The Last Truck: Closing of a GM Plant' (which also serves as an unofficial prelude to this film), bring in 'American Factory' a journalistic approach as precise and personal as necessary. They assume that the audience is aware of the threats the world faces due to rampant globalization, so they avoid providing all this context, which gives them more time to examine the real tensions of international companies in human terms. It should be noted that this is the first production of the new studio founded by the Obama couple, and it will certainly fight to win a place among the Oscar nominees. Watch together with the short 'American Factory: A Conversation with Michelle and Barack Obama'."
