"This is a new version of the classic 1980s horror movie, 'Child's Play'. Here, voodoo takes a back seat and technology takes center stage in a satire of our highly connected and detached society from more traditional forms of entertainment. The jokes aren't necessarily funny, but they work, and although the script progresses with some awkwardness, it reaches a good (and bloody) third act. Mark Hamill's original voice work as Chucky the doll is a strong pillar of the film, fulfilling its mission of entertainment."
