This period film from Director Devon Parks weaves an intersecting web of characters, all having witnessed a murder from three different vantage points.

""The Riot Act" is an interesting and complex movie that skillfully blends elements of thriller, fantasy, and drama. Set in a small Oklahoma town in 1901, the art direction is full of details - just pay attention to the sets and costumes, as well as the props. Brett Cullen's (the "Joker") performance is remarkable, as it gives his character a three-dimensionality rarely seen in genre films. Perhaps the script attempts to cover too many topics and doesn't always succeed; however, there are cases where sheer ambition is enough to make the cinematic experience enjoyable."
