Why watch the movie The Forest of Love?
"This metalinguistic film is a wry portrait of contemporary Japanese culture, human relationships, and even abuse. In the story, a group of young people decide to make a documentary about a charismatic leader, who in reality is a dangerous con artist. This leads them into a spiral where it is difficult to differentiate reality from fiction. It's not a movie for everyone's taste, but it will certainly attract those initiated in current Japanese cinema."
