Why watch the movie Poltergeist?
"Released just days apart from 'E.T.: The Extra-Terrestrial' and also produced by Steven Spielberg, 'Poltergeist' is its complete antithesis. After all, the movie shows the dark side of American suburbs, a kind of dark fairy tale seen through the suffering of a family. This emphasis on characters is what made the movie a modern classic of terror, in addition to its spectacular special effects (BAFTA winners and Oscar nominees). If you're a fan of 1980s cinema, this feature is a must-see."
