"Netflix has been making a certain rescue of Christmas movies, and 'Holiday in The Wild', despite the Portuguese title, is one of them. In any case, the feature film manages to be more than that: the protagonist, Kristin Davis ('Sex and the City') is also an executive producer of the film and a renowned activist for various causes in African territory, and had a similar experience with an orphaned elephant. Thus, the film tries to give visibility to the preservation of these pachyderms, and that is why Davis worked hard to make the filming in a real elephant sanctuary (something worth seeing), avoiding the use of trained animals."
