"Patrick Berhault - Il Gesto e La Grazia" depicts, in 1997, the monument of climbing and mountaineering Patrick Berhault, evolving in bouldering and cliff climbing in Finale Ligure in Italy. Berhault, thanks to a very sustained physical training and a truly exceptional mind, revolutionizes the level of climbing but above all the approach to the mountain by developing a style of action based on speed, ethics and the beauty of the gesture. The Bérhault style was born. From the end of the 1970s, he therefore exploded the standards of climbing and mountaineering. On the one hand, free climbing in Europe by freeing the domed Pichenibule in the Gorges du Verdon, 7b+ in 1979 then by freeing the Haine 7c+ at La Turbie in 1981. And on the other hand, mountaineering with in particular the ascent of the north face of the Droites solo in a few hours and with Patrick Edlinger the winter of the slab route on the north face of the Ailefroide in breathtaking weather.
