Why watch the movie A Rainy Day in New York?
"Woody Allen, the New York filmmaker (‘Annie Hall’, ‘Vicky Cristina Barcelona’) returns with a cast of new faces in a romantic comedy very typical of his style, full of multiple plots about love and existential crises adorned with clever dialogues. Okay, ‘A Rainy Day in New York’ may not be a masterpiece in the prolific filmography of the filmmaker, but it is quite entertaining and much due to a charismatic cast that includes young talents like Elle Fanning (‘Maleficent’), Timothée Chalamet (‘Call Me By Your Name’) and Selena Gomez (‘Spring Breakers’), as well as veterans like Diego Luna (‘Rogue One: A Star Wars Story’) and Jude Law (‘The Grand Budapest Hotel’)."
