A woman's island getaway with her boyfriend is thrown for a loop when he forgets to take his prescription medications along.
"Mexican comedy has gained a lot of strength in recent years due to the success of Eugenio Derbez's films -- a kind of Mexican Leandro Hassum. Now, the feature film 'Loco por Ti' (also released as 'Las Pildoras De Mi Novio' in some platforms) tries to follow the same logic as most Mexican productions: tropical climate, a clumsy protagonist and a series of confusions. Here, in this case, involving a successful executive (Sandra Echeverría) who believes she has found the man of her dreams (Jaime Camil). However, during a trip, she discovers that the man is a well of problems. With a tone reminiscent of Netflix's bestial comedy 'A Missy Errada', 'Loco por Ti' plays with the possibilities of this world of relationships, but without taking much care when touching on sensitive topics -- such as mental health, in this specific case. It is a shameless comedy, without brakes, and to watch without much censorship. After all, if taken too seriously, it can be a bore."
