"Based on Ursula K. Le Guin's 'Terramar' saga, 'Gedo senki' is the first feature-length animation from Studio Ghibli, directed by Gorō Miyazaki, son of the legendary Hayao Miyazaki. It must be said that, narratively, it is one of the weakest efforts of the prestigious Japanese animation studio, but it maintains the visual quality that characterizes it, in addition to dealing with universal themes such as redemption and balance of nature. You have to watch this production with an open mind, without high expectations. Thus, one can find a regular animation, albeit forgettable, but with the good aesthetics of Studio Ghibli."
