The Call of the Wild

"Movie with and about dogs are a constant in the world cinema. From the most tear-jerking, like 'Always by Your Side' and 'Marley & Me'; passing through the spiritual connection between animals and furry friends, like 'My Friend Enzo' and 'Four Lives of a Dog'; up to those that put the friendship of humans and animals in extreme situations, like in 'I Am Legend' and 'Rescue Below Zero'. Now, 'The Call of the Wild' enters this last list with a survival movie. Inspired by the book of the same name, by Jack London, and which has already yielded other adaptations for the cinema, the film shows the relationship of a man (Harrison Ford) with a dog in a hostile environment. Even though the digitization of the animals makes the film lose strength and vitality, making the artificiality of the situation too obvious, it is difficult not to embark on the journey of the duo and, mainly, of the dog - which, whether you want it or not, is the protagonist. Thus, it is a good option for those who want to see this journey of friendship and introspection between men and animals. But it is worth remembering: if you are weak for dramas with dogs, it is better to watch with a handkerchief."
