"Haunted houses and exorcisms are such widely seen elements in horror films, that it's already hard to use them in a new story that at least surprises, or even disturbs. The Korean 'Metamorphosis' achieves, at least, the first. The atmosphere of tension is palpable thanks to the premise that a mutant spirit sows distrust in a family, subjected to situations of violence that give us more typical images of bloody cinema than of supernatural terror. It's not the most original movie you'll see, but if you like to have fun watching a horror film, it's a very effective option."
