The Parts You Lose

"Much of the movie is told from the perspective of its small protagonist, a mute boy who observes the details of the world from his silence. The photography of 'The Parts You Lose' fits this perspective, and it's almost like a character of its own. The story, whose setting will remind you of other independent dramas such as 'Without a Trace', is truly modest, very focused on the relationships between its characters. The young protagonist, Danny Murphy, is excellent, as are his co-stars Aaron Paul ('The Road: A Breaking Bad Movie') and Mary Elizabeth Winstead ('Cloverfield Lane 10')."
