Why watch the movie Crip Camp?
"More from Higher Ground Productions, the company created by Michelle and Barack Obama and responsible for the Oscar-winning documentary 'American Factory'. 'Crip Camp' speaks of the long-term positive impacts of Camp Jened, a camp for disabled youth that operated between 1951 and 1977 and, at the height of the counterculture movements of the 1960s and 1970s, inspired the fight for civil rights of people with disabilities. Winner of the Audience Award at the 2020 Sundance Festival, it is an emotionally moving documentary, without exaggeration, with the perfect touch of irreverence to have fun."
