Pregnant with director Roman Polanski's child and awaiting his return from Europe, 26-year-old Hollywood actress Sharon Tate becomes plagued by visions of her imminent death.
"The brutal murder of actress Sharon Tate and several friends in her home in August 1969 is one of the most shocking events not only in Hollywood history, but in the 1960s in general. For decades, the event has inspired public interest and even curiosity about the actress and her then husband, filmmaker Roman Polanski (Rosemary's Baby); as well as members of the "Manson Family", manifested in numerous publications and even films (Quentin Tarantino's Once Upon a Time in ... Hollywood is one of the most popular examples). The Haunting of Sharon Tate mixes real events with fiction, inspired by a controversial statement made by the actress in 1967, in which she mentioned a supposed dream of her own death. The result is this horror thriller starring Hilary Duff (Gossip Girl), which, although it does not violate genre conventions, offers a peculiar touch to one of the most disturbing murders of the twentieth century."
