"FM-2030, born Fereidoun M. Esfandiary, was a science fiction writer and futurist who had a difficult intention to achieve: to live forever. However, he ended up dying in 2000. Now, in the documentary '2030', filmmaker Johnny Boston explores his relationship with FM-2030, whom he met when he was a child, as well as the impacts of the futurist's death on his life and those close to him. Although it is interesting to learn about this man's ideas, who declared himself "transhumanist", the best of '2030' is understanding the relationship between Boston and FM-2030 and how it shaped the filmmaker's life up to this point."
