One hint, 6 chances, and a new movie to guess every day
When smart but cash-strapped teen Ellie Chu agrees to write a love letter for a jock, she doesn't expect to become his friend - or fall for his crush.

"In teen-starring or not romantic comedies, love triangles are quite common (mainly in those inspired in some way by the play 'Cyrano de Bergerac') - even on Netflix, we have 'Sierra Burgess is a Loser' as an example. So it's interesting that director and screenwriter Alice Wu ('Saving Face') gives this movie a small twist that changes everything: putting a lesbian vertex in that triangle. For this reason, 'The Half of It' is more than the typical teen romantic comedy, as it sensitively portrays the experiences of friendship and love (or lack thereof) in this context. Even if the feature itself does not change the story of cinema, it will certainly involve you with a story full of affection and discovery, which gains a greater shine through the performance of its young protagonist, Leah Lewis."
