In the course of one night, the world of real and fairy tale characters collide, the ruler Theseus plans a wedding, the capricious elf king Oberon longs to punish his consort Titania, and above all, two lovers wander through the night entwined in love. And few notice that a threat is at the beginning of the comedy - Egeus, Hermia's father, appeals to the ruler Theseus for his right. If his daughter does not want the man he has chosen for her husband, he intends to send his daughter to her death. And so it is just as well that Oberon and the gnome Puck in his service use the magic flower to stir the feelings of both Demetrius and Lysander.
