In 'Narzeczony na niby', director Bartosz Prokopowicz takes a lighter and more relaxed approach to cinema than seen in his previous works, such as the intense 'Chemia' or the dramatic 'Komornik'. Reminiscent of the national 'Ricos de Amor' or 'Minha Noiva de Mentira', here we can see a relationship being built from a silly lie that evolves into unimaginable proportions. The dryness of some situations and the romance itself may make a lot of the audience feel strange, especially those used to American comedies. However, those looking for something of the genre that goes beyond the obvious and opens up to new horizons can find here a light and peaceful entertainment. After all, romantic comedy is already a universal language."
