Why watch the movie Run This Town?
"Following in the footsteps of 'Bad Education', an HBO exclusive starring Hugh Jackman, the Canadian film 'Run This Town' exposes corruption from smaller and more controlled environments. In this case, a political scandal in the Toronto mayor's office that shook the city and its residents in 2012 and stirred up emotions across the country. To tell this story, however, first-time feature director and screenwriter Ricky Tollman takes the lead away from powerful or corruptors. And just like the movie with Jackman unfolds from a junior reporter, 'Run This Town' focuses on showing the reaction of young municipal employees to the crime committed in the higher floors of the work building. The film was nominated for three categories at the Canadian Screen Awards."
