The documentary presents the history and trajectory of the first consecrated Brazilian pop-rock band, Blitz. The feature film explores its appearance on the canvas of Circo Voador between Ipanema and Copacabana, in the 1980s, up to international tours and the enormous success of the group even today.
"The band Blitz, led by actor Evandro Mesquita, was an absolute success in Brazil in the 1980s. With hits like 'Você Não Soube me Amar' and 'Biquíni de Bolinha Amarelinha tão Pequenininho', the group won over many young fans and made a very characteristic music, playing with stories and narratives. Now, in 'Blitz: The Movie', filmmaker Paulo Fontenelle (from the movie 'Intruso') tells this story in the documentary 'Blitz: The Movie'. From its emergence in Rio de Janeiro to its worldwide success, the feature film revisits important moments of the band and, above all, helps to create an interesting overview of the Brazilian music scene back in the 1980s. Thus, more than a product aimed at fans of the band, 'Blitz: The Movie' will make sense to all those who lived or would have liked to live in that period of the country."
