"Based on real events, the feature film '7500' can already boast the crown of one of the most desperate movies of 2020. Directed by Patrick Vollrath, a newcomer to features, the production focuses on the story of a group of terrorists who take control of an airplane and enter into a physical and mainly psychological battle with the pilots. It's a story that reminds (too much!) of the excellent feature film 'United 93' by Paul Greengrass, which shows the only plane of the September 11, 2001 attack that did not reach its goal. However, here, Vollrath focuses only on the cockpit environment and puts all the weight of the story in a precise performance by Joseph Gordon-Levitt ('Snowden: Hero or Traitor'). It's claustrophobic, disturbing, desperate. Of course, those who expect a dynamic movie may be disappointed. After all, it's a story of a single environment, of a single narrative line. But those who embark on the proposal and feel the pain of this pilot played by Gordon-Levitt will have an interesting and memorable experience."
