Taylor Sheridan’s 122-Minute Crime Thriller Officially Hits 30-Day Streaming Milestone

Between multiple new releases inside and out of the Yellowstone universe on top of new projects out now and coming soon, Taylor Sheridan has continued his run as one of the busiest writers in Hollywood. Sheridan used shows like Marshals and Dutton Ranch to further the story of Yellowstone, and although Marshals first premiered earlier this year, the show has already returned for Season 2 — no word yet on when Dutton Ranch will make its return to Paramount Plus, though. Even before he wrote an episode of Yellowstone, Sheridan made a name for himself writing some of the best neo-Western crime thrillers ever that have stood the test of time, like Wind River,

The 7 Best Crime Thrillers to Watch on Netflix After ‘Animals’

Ben Affleck picked up the camera again for “Animals,” his new Netflix crime thriller about an L.A. mayoral candidate whose life with his wife (Kerry Washington) is turned upside down by the kidnapping of their young son. The film sees Affleck return to the same crime genre he previously explored in 2007’s “Gone Baby Gone,” 2010’s “The Town” and 2016’s “Live By Night.” Unfortunately, none of those films are streaming right now on Netflix. With that in mind, here are the seven best crime thrillers on Netflix that you can watch after “Animals.” Rooney Mara in “The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo” (Sony Pictures) “The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo

Ben Silverman Still Doesn’t Want a Job — But He’s Busier Than Ever

Ben Silverman has been producing TV since he was 30. Twenty-six years later, the man does not lack for pep. He’s naturally a vibes guy, though the multiple double lattes probably help. On a Monday in late August, Silverman met The Hollywood Reporter at a coffeehouse opposite Manhattan’s Bryant Park to check in on Propagate Content — Silverman’s and his former assistant Howard T. Owens’ production company — but instead golf took over the chat. The Propagate chairman and co-ceo carries an 8.1 handicap and memberships at the ultra-exclusive Riviera and Hillcrest country clubs. As of late, Silverman’s hobby has informed his profession: Propagate has revived the Skins Game at Amazon, is developing an untitled Anthony Kim documentary and will premiere season two of the scripted Owen Wilson golf comedy Stick on Apple TV on Nov. 4. Netflix’s Answer to Taylor Sheridan’s ‘Sicario’ Officially Makes Streaming History

Even though neither Sicario nor its sequel, Sicario: Day of the Soldado, managed to hit the coveted $100 million mark at the worldwide box office, a third installment was recently confirmed. The key to the unlikely franchise's success is its popularity at home. Both Sicario and Sicario 2 have proven to be long-running hits on the PVOD market, and this has encouraged everybody involved to return for another installment. Crime remains a massively popular genre, and evidence in support of this claim can regularly be seen in streaming viewership data. For instance, Netflix's biggest international title this year happens to be a Sicario-style crime thriller set in the badlands of Mexico.

‘Eden’ Star Ana de Armas Embraces the Art of Mystery on Harper’s Bazaar Spain’s Double Cover

Few stars move between Hollywood blockbusters and high fashion as effortlessly as Ana de Armas, and her Harper’s Bazaar Spain cover feels like a homecoming of sorts. Born in Havana, the actress moved to Madrid at 18, where the boarding school series ‘El Internado’ made her a celebrity in Spain. That career has since taken her from Spanish television to international stardom. She earned a Golden Globe nomination for ‘Knives Out’, played Paloma in ‘No Time to Die’, and received an Oscar nomination for her turn as Marilyn Monroe in ‘Blonde’. Now, the actress is back on Spanish newsstands with not one but 2 covers for Harper’s Bazaar España’s November issue.

‘Ballerina’ Star Ana de Armas Turns Mystery Into High Fashion on Harper’s Bazaar Spain’s Double Cover

Some stars let their work do the talking, and others let silence do it for them. Ana de Armas has built a career on a blend of old-Hollywood glamour and modern, understated cool, which is why she is such a natural fit for fashion magazines. Her latest Harper’s Bazaar Spain cover is a good example of that formula at work. The Cuban-born actress moved to Madrid at 18 and became a celebrity in Spain through the series ‘El Internado.’ She then built a Hollywood career with ‘Blade Runner 2049,’ ‘Knives Out’ and ‘No Time to Die,’ and her Oscar-nominated performance in ‘Blonde’ made her the first Cuban nominated for the Academy Award for Best Actress.
