On July 2, Brazilian media giant Globo launched Amazon.set thriller “Aruanas,” a single scripted series produced for Ott service Globoplay, in 150 countries worldwide using Vimeo-powered platform aruanas.tv. It offers subtitles in 11 languages: English, Spanish, French, Italian, German, Dutch, Russian, Arabic, Hindi, Turkish and Korean. That global initiative reflects “Aruanas”’ urgency. Globoplay’s ‘Aruanas’ Amazon Rainforest Series Bows in 150 Countries

Globoplay, the streaming platform of Brazilian media giant Globo, is set to bow one of its most ambitious fictional series to date, “Aruanas” (“Sentinels of Nature”). Miami — Announcing at Natpe one of its first big new deals, Brazil’s Globo Studios has confirmed the sale of Globoplay exclusive series “Harassment” to Mega, Chile’s broadcast network audience leader. The deal, clinched by Globo’s Raphael Correa, comes as “Harassment,” which was released by Globo streaming service Globoplay, has just been selected for the Berlin Festival’s prestigious Drama Series Days Market Screenings. Globo to Launch TV Series ‘Above Justice,’ ‘Nothing Remains the Same,’ ‘Supermax’

Brazilian TV giant Globo has announced the international launch at Natpe this January of three new TV series: “Above Justice,” “Nothing Remains the Same” and “Supermax.” All three suggest new fiction production trends coursing through Globo. Underscoring an increasingly consolidated tendency at now most big Latin American TV players, including Televisa and Telemundo Internacional, Globo’s announcement suggests the growing importance in its content catalogue of shorter fiction formats, in addition to their classic, internationally well-known, telenovelas.
