Reckless Review: One Bad Decision Multiplies Beautifully

The cleverest structural choice in Reckless is making the fatal accident almost incidental. Charlie (Hunter Page-Lochard) and his older sister June (Tasma Walton) are driving home from a family wedding through Fremantle when Charlie hits George, an elderly man wandering the road in his pyjamas. That should be the catastrophe. Instead, it becomes step one in a much longer tutorial on how intelligent people can ruin their lives through increasingly creative damage control. The 12-Part Hard R-Rated Thriller That's Officially One of the Biggest Shows on Streaming

After major hits like Bound, The Last Seduction, Wild Things, and Basic Instinct in the '90s, the erotic thriller slowly fell out of fashion. There were the occasional modern hits, like The Handmaiden, but the genre is alive and kicking thanks to some recent streaming mega-hits. Sydney Sweeney's The Voyeurs and (more recently) The Housemaid are both gigantic streaming hits, and the genre even received a sci-fi twist with this year's Soulm8te. But the genre has transcended the big

You, Always (2026) Movie Review & Ending Explained: Does Jen Stay Back with Ethan?

Christine Luby’s romantic comedy, “You, Always” (2026), marks yet another entry in a canon that thrives on forgettable, disposable, and yet bearable fare. The leads, Jessica De Gouw, Adrian Grenier, and Desmond Chiam, are amiably watchable, but palpably struggle to infuse the film with ache and swooning charm. The script is just leaden, sagging under umpteen uninspired choices and directions. It feels insipid, overfamiliar, and frankly unnecessary in its addition to the ever-mushrooming romcom legion. A woman torn between two men, one she has known for years and another newly met, is at the centre. Yet, her dilemma feels sanded over into a neat crenellation of easy, obvious, broadly etched feelings and impulses.
