‘Carrie’ Finale Images Bring the Blood, Fire, and Prom Night Chaos!

It’s prom night, at long last. Prime Video has provided Dread Central with a handful of officially approved, high-resolution images from Carrie’s bloody, ultra-violent season finale. Finally, some photos of the chaos itself instead of another batch of people standing around! Major spoilers for the season finale below, including in the images. We all know what happens when Chris and her boyfriend dump pig’s blood on Carrie in front of the entire school. But Mike Flanagan, who directed the finale, takes that familiar breaking point and turns it into a full-blown nightmare. There’s blood, there’s fire, and there’s his signature style all over it. It’s a banger of a finale that feels like a movie unto itself. One of the standout shots features Siena Agudong (Netflix’s Resident Evil) as Sue Snell standing before Carrie, played by Summer H. Howell (Curse of Chucky), as the stage burns.

10 TV Shows To Watch If You Like Carrie

It's genuinely surprising in this day and age to find a television adaptation that successfully updates its previously adapted source material into a new definitive reinterpretation. In the case of Prime Video's "Carrie," there's some serious competition in Brian De Palma's 1976 film starring Sissy Spacek, which kickstarted a plethora of Stephen King adaptations over the years. However, the "Carrie" series takes some bold creative liberties informed by the novel's wider influence on horror and science fiction on TV. Created by Mike Flanagan, a prolific voice in modern horror, "Carrie" stars Summer H. Howell as the titular telekinetic teenager, with

20 Years Ago, the Best Sci-Fi Show of the Century Delivered the Most Epic Space Battle in TV History

To liberate the humans trapped under Cylon occupation, Admiral William Adama (Edward James Olmos) jumps the titular Battlestar Galactica directly into the atmosphere of New Caprica. The warship plummets toward the settlement and deploys Viper fighter jets amidst the chaos before jumping back into space moments before it would have crashed, likely obliterating the planet on impact. Two decades later, this spectacle from Battlestar Galactica season 3’s “Exodus, Part 2” remains unforgettable sci-fi TV. It’s dazzling and horrifying, and still one of the coolest things ever broadcast on science-fiction television. From a tactical standpoint, the “Adama Maneuver” is absolutely bonkers and one of the riskiest spaceship tactics, perhaps ever. What
