The Last Temptation of Becky Review: Third Time Isn’t the Charm

The Last Temptation of Becky brings the trilogy to a violent conclusion, pitting Lulu Wilson’s teenage heroine against yet another racist madman. After defeating Kevin James in the original Becky and Seann William Scott in its follow-up, The Wrath of Becky, it’s fitting that she’d go toe-to-toe and gun-to-gun with Neil Patrick Harris in the third installment. While I’m always excited to see Lulu Wilson tear through a Nazi horde, The Last Temptation does so without the magic and humor of its predecessors, and ultimately loses the core elements of what made the first two so enjoyable. What is The Last Temptation of Becky about? After surviving two separate,

The Last Temptation of Becky – Movie Review (3/5)

The Last Temptation Of Becky is the third movie about the very violent Becky, who is an expert at surviving… and killing. This time, she’s a CIA field agent, as they hope to use her survival skills. Of course, her temper isn’t exactly an asset, but maybe it could be. Read our full The Last Temptation of Becky movie review here! The Last Temptation of Becky Review: Checking In at the Wolf’s Lair

General Reuss runs an inn at the Wolf’s Lair, Hitler’s former military headquarters in what is now Poland. When Becky arrives undercover, Neil Patrick Harris gives Reuss the warmth of a man who knows how to receive a guest. His performance makes the inn feel like a family business before we see what else the family has inherited. Director Jenn Wexler gets a sharper effect from that welcome than from any of the general’s experiments. For a moment, Becky has to keep up her side of a social exchange with a man whose plans she has come to uncover. Reuss takes pride in a grandfather who served

‘The Last Temptation of Becky’ Review: This Badass Antifa Franchise Deserves a Bigger Budget

The older you get, the more you realize life is about the simple pleasures. An uninterrupted, full night of sleep. A tall glass of iced tea on a hot summer’s day. An introductory paragraph that seamlessly transitions into an amusing tonal shift. Lulu Wilson decapitating Nazis. Stuff like that. Lulu Wilson has turned killing white supremacists into a cottage industry, and in the “Becky” movies, business is booming. In the original “Becky” (2020), she slaughtered escaped neo-Nazi convicts led by a surprisingly sinister Kevin James. In “The Wrath of Becky” (2023), she laid a one-woman siege against the not-quite-Proud Boys, led by a surprisingly sinister Seann William Scott. “Becky” was great,

Anger mismanagement by Paul Risker

The Last Temptation Of Becky American producer and filmmaker Jenn Wexler takes the reins of The Last Temptation Of Becky, the third film in the series. Written by Matt Angel from a story he developed with Suzanne Coote, this latest film opens up the world from what has traditionally sat within the home invasion sub-genre in Becky and The Wrath Of Becky. Decidedly bigger in scope, The Last Temptation Of Becky mixes together the international spy thriller and revenge sub-genres. 18-year-old Becky Hooper (Lulu Wilson), the youngest CIA field agent, is tasked with infiltrating a family who run an inn on the site of Adolf Hitler's fabled bunker, The Wolf's Lair.

The Last Temptation of Becky Review – Is the Next Step About to Be Nazi Zombies in Space?

How is it possible that the Becky franchise quietly snuck a trilogy up on us? It seems like it was only yesterday that Lulu Wilson ‘s Becky Hooper faced off against Kevin James‘ neo-Nazi Dominick Lewis in the first movie, Becky (2020), and now she’s a CIA agent and still battling against Hitler’s followers in The Last Temptation of Becky. Much like the John Wick series, this action franchise continues to evolve into something far removed from its first installment. The schlocky gore and over-the-top violence remain, but The Last Temptation of Becky is more self-aware. There’s a tongue-in-cheek quality here, with everybody being in on how ridiculous
