PBS' Remake of a 180-Year-Old Classic Quietly Climbs Streaming Charts in America
It has always been a match made in heaven! Literary works and adaptations. Several works have been rightly praised, from the Shakespearean tales to more modern offerings that have blown audiences, like the adaptation of several of George R.R. Martin's works, which have helped build out HBO's Westerosi universe. Alexandre Dumas’ legendary revenge tale, The Count of Monte Cristo, is one of those stories that has endeared readers over the years and, as such, has been subject to multiple adaptations.
The most recent of these adaptations comes from Masterpiece PBS, perhaps the most trusted name in classic adaptations, and it brings the story to screens in a special way.
